Based on our corporate philosophy, “Otsuka - people creating new products for better health worldwide,” the Otsuka Group is constantly working to help improve the health of people in all parts of the world. We at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc., a leader in intravenous nutrition products, are committed to being the best partner of both patients and healthcare professionals in the field of clinical nutrition.
On a historical note, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc., established in 1921, began its involvement in the manufacture and distribution of intravenous injection products such as large-volume parenterals in 1946. From the initial stage of its operations, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. has been engaged in the R&D and manufacture of products, and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has been involved in the distribution of these products. Since that time, we have played a leading role in the area of intravenous nutrition, making important contributions to the advancement of intravenous therapy and developing new products and technologies in Japan and other Asian countries. In 2005, we established a professional scientific organization with professional nutrition representatives stationed across the country to further strengthen our activities such as providing dependable, high-quality services and information. We are also dedicated to contributing to the advancement of clinical nutrition overseas.
In addition, building on our contract manufacturing business, which is based on our extensive experience in intravenous technology, we will make the utmost effort as the best partner in the field of clinical nutrition with a firm commitment that this second stage of our continuing operations, which is just now beginning, will continue into the future.
