Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory launches the "Povidone Iodine Solution/Olanedine Solution Antiseptic Cartridges," antiseptics for external use

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. (Head Office: Naruto, Tokushima, Japan; President and Representative Director: Shuichi Takagi; "Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory") launches three antiseptics for external use on August 27, 2025: "Povidone Iodine Solution 10% Antiseptic Cartridges Otsuka 25 mL," "Olanedine Solution 1.5% Antiseptic Cartridges 25 mL," and "Olanedine Solution 1.5% OR Antiseptic Cartridges 25 mL."

These products are antiseptic cartridges to be used with separately sold cartridge applicator "Otsuka"; insertion of the cartridge in the applicator causes the drug solution container to open. Among these three kinds of antiseptics, an appropriate antiseptic cartridge can be selected in medical settings according to the patient's background. Although we have been offering antiseptic products that integrate the drug solution and applicator, we have added separate cartridge and applicator forms to our product lineup for use in wider situations, where the applicator can be integrated into the surgical kit. We expect that these products, which can be used hygienically with a simple operation, will contribute to further improvements in the convenience and safety of surgical care.
