Development of IV solutions and containers that have led the industry in Japan
To ensure the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals, technologies involved in formulation—including formulations, manufacturing methods, specifications, and test methods—need to be designed and rolled out to the Quality Division and our plants to manufacture pharmaceuticals efficiently and consistently. For commercialization, containers that take into account the stability and usability of pharmaceuticals also need to be designed, together with manufacturing technologies and equipment aimed at stable production.
During the design and development process for pharmaceuticals including IV solutions at the Technical Center, we develop these technologies and roll them out to plants in Japan and overseas.
