Under the Otsuka Group corporate philosophy, Otsuka-people creating new products for better health worldwide, we are engaged in the research and development of innovative and creative pharmaceuticals and medical devices, regenerative medicine–related products, and medical foods. In carrying out these activities, we operate not only in compliance with laws and regulations but also under high ethical standards, including bioethics. As part of our internal governance, we have established the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory Code of Conduct and our Compliance Program which we abide by.

As a member of the Otsuka Group, a Total Health company, we are responsible for providing a stable supply of safe and reliable products that earn the trust of all people. To that end, when procuring products and raw materials we promote sustainable procurement, in collaboration with our business partners, that in addition to quality, safety, and stable supply also takes into account human rights, working conditions, anti-corruption, and the natural environment, aiming to build a sustainable supply chain and enhance the corporate value of both parties.

In sales, to ensure appropriate promotion and enhanced access to information, as a member company of the IV Solutions Council we follow the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association’s Code of Practice and have established the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory Code of Practice.
We comply with laws and corporate ethics to fulfill our responsibilities as a pharmaceutical company so that appropriate medical care is provided from the patient’s perspective.

Based on information on product handling collected from medical institutions, the Information Center for Infusion Therapy and Product makes recommendations for improvements and enhancements to relevant internal departments. Additionally, it disseminates information on proper product handling to healthcare professionals and strives to improve reliability. The Library of Infusion Therapy and Product adjacent to the Information Center for Infusion Therapy and Product features exhibits on IV solutions, explains their history, types, and technologies, and fosters communication with visitors.

In addition to handling telephone inquiries, the Intravenous Drug Information Center posts Frequently Asked Questions and Answers on a web page for healthcare professionals and presents posters at medical-related academic conferences. As a leading company in IV solutions, our members work together to provide information to healthcare professionals, including pharmacists responsible for promoting the proper use of drugs.
